What does Sixer Six mean ?
Based originally upon a humorous joke concerning the phonetic (military) alphabet it has become a name of controversy. Six is the number of man. We wanted to use this number to keep us humble and keep the realization we are men and not perfect. Our goal is to help people understand that you don't have to be a perfect man to come to know Jesus and to strive to allow him to make the changes in our lives to cause us to grow in him. Sixer Six is the transition from boyhood (Sixer) to manhood (Six) to live in Jesus Christ who is the Perfect Man (Seven).

Who is Sixer Six ?
Sixer Six is a band of christian men that have brought their influences together and created a new sound and genre. We like to call it " Christabilly ". It's  a conglomeration of Alternative Country,Cowpunk, Rock and Psychobilly Blues with lyrics that are based on real life experiences. Not bible thumpers or religious fanatics but real God fearing men who let their faith and music speak for them.

Sixer Six derives its range of influences from great bands such as Rev. Horton Heat and Brian Setzer to Jason Aldean and Montgomery Gentry.  Great 70's and 80's bands such as The Who, Lynard Skynard, Social Distortion various other hair bands. The music is a definite hodgepodge of technique and artistry. 

Sixer Six has supported international and regional Motorcycle Ministries, churches, Car Clubs and various Disaster Relief Groups by way of performances and networking, and spends some of their personal time meeting the needs of the homeless through their charity "Unwanted Outreach ".   These guys are out to reach the less fortunate and those hurting, physically or spiritually.  

Sixer Six and their music has been selected to participate in the Christian suspense thriller film "Sahri" which was filmed right here in East Tennessee. It's release will also coincide with the release of Sixer Six's first full length album. Sixer Six already has music videos and concert footage availiable on both Facebook and Youtube.
